Wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates: the seven species the Torah names as the blessing of the Land of Israel (Deuteronomy 8:8).
I first painted this series to decorate my own sukkah. Living with the paintings made me want them on the walls all year, and this collection is the result. Each piece is an original watercolor-and-ink painting, photographed and prepared so you can print it at home or at a print shop.
Hang all seven together as a gallery wall, frame one or two favorites for a kitchen or dining room, or give the set to someone making a new home. It is Jewish botanical art made to belong in a home all year: at the Shabbat table, through the holidays, and on an ordinary Tuesday.
